Tetra Pak is to introduce aseptic cartons that carry FSC label in China as part of its commitment to support responsible forest management and drive environmental performance.

The product will be launched in three formats: Tetra Fino Aseptic; Tetra Pisma Aseptic; Tetra Brik Aseptic.

Hudson Lee, president of Tetra Pak China, said the business was "committed to sustainable development" and was "working together with suppliers, customers, consumers and NGOs" to create a green supply chain.

He added: "We are working hard to support responsible forest management and certification in China, building a convenient platform for consumers to be able to support environmental protection and participate in low-carbon activities by teaming up."

The company said its ultimate goal was to have all supply certified to the highest standard, which it said is currently FSC.
