Smurfit Kappa has announced the opening of a new Experience Centre for Bag-in-Box in Épernay, France, the second one for the division.

The new Experience Centre provides a place for customers to get hands-on experience of the spectrum of capabilities offered by Bag-in-Box solutions. State-of-the-art technology and interactive displays designed to showcase the films, taps and boxes are backed up by a wealth of information and technical expertise.

Visitors are also given the opportunity to test the products in the laboratory and see how they can benefit their business.

The centre opened last month as part of this year’s celebration of 40 years of the Bag-in-Box division. Dominique Gessat, general manager, Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box Epernay comments: “Customers coming to the Experience Centre can evaluate all the processes of production and see with their own eyes the quality standards that Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box has adopted over the years.

“Our production plants are certified worldwide, recognised for their modern equipment and strict procedures to ensure with food packaging regulations.”

The new centre in Epernay brings the number of Smurfit Kappa Experience Centres to 18. The Global Experience Centre is located in Schiphol, Amsterdam.
