In what appears to be an extension of the seemingly continuous food and product recalls, a California-based company is voluntarily recalling its cough syrup for undeclared morphine content, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

A coffee labeling bill introduced to the Hawaii state Senate seeks to require coffee that is produced in Hawaii and labeled with a geographic blend to have at least 51 percent of its beans come from that region, according to West Hawaii Today.

Currently, just 10 percent of a coffee blend needs to be from a certain region in order to be given the region label, which Russell Ruderman (D-Puna), who introduced the legislation, called “deceptive labeling,” the source reports.

Ruderman has introduced legislation on this issue three times, West Hawaii Today wrote. Geographic blend examples include Kona, Ka’u and Hamakua.
