by Jenni Spinner, Senior Editor -- Packaging Digest, 2/1/2013

The Combidome is designed to offer the benefits of a carton container, with features of a bottle. According to the company, the product offers an elegant shape, stability, smooth pouring and ease of handling. It is constructed of a carton body, composed from the base to the dome of paperboard composite, and the company's screw-cap domeTwist. Inside the filling machine, the two components are assembled into the finished carton pack, aseptically filled and securely sealed. The single-action domeTwist screw cap is positioned in the center of the package's top, and is said to be easy to open. At 28 mm, the inner diameter of the closure is large, ensuring smooth pouring and enabling consumers to drink conveniently straight from the carton pack, according to the manufacturer.
