Coca Cola to talk at ‘Packaging for Retail Success’ conference

Coca Cola has joined the big-name brands set to talk at the new ‘Packaging for Retail Success’ conference, organised by Packaging News.

Patrick McGuirk, recycling director at the soft drinks giant, will present the strategy behind its PlantBottle, the PET bottle that is made from a third plant-based plastics.

The presentation is the latest to join a growing list of brands and retailers including Sainsbury’s, the Co-operative Food, GlaxoSmithKline and Amy’s Kitchen presenting their strategies for packaging design and retail marketing at the event, which is sponsored by DS Smith Packaging and Sappi.

Mira Showers’ channel marketing manager Alex Davies will also be presenting its latest innovative use of on-pack QR codes at the conference – a first for the DIY sector.

‘Packaging for Retail Success’ will take place on 10 November at the Westminster Park Plaza hotel. It is organised in conjunction with the Quality Food Awards.
