Premier turns to Domino for Oxo coders

Oxo producer Premier Foods has turned to Domino to upgrade the laser marking on a number of its Worksop production lines.

The food firm plumped for Domino's D-Series plus laser scribing technology to replace another supplier's products after using the Cambridge firm's A-Series inkjet coders on a separate canning line.

The new coders have been installed on production lines making sauces and noodle products at Premier Foods' Worksop facility. Oxo is one of the brands being made on the lines.

Russell Inman, engineering manager at the plant, said: "Premier looked at the different products on the market and Domino offered us a trial of the Domino D-Series plus laser with no obligation.

"The trial was successful, professional and the tender was competitive which gave us the confidence to invest with Domino again."

The value of the deal has not been made public.
