EasyFairs sets packaging design challenge at London show

EasyFairs is calling on designers to show off their skills in the 'Ready, Steady, Design' challenge at next month's show.

The challenge has been put together by BPIF Cartons, EskoArtwork and the easyFairs team and is conceived to showcase new, eye-catching but practical carton packaging.

Each participant will be given a brief and then receive a quick tutorial on Artios, the design software that will be used for the challenge, on the MACs provided by EskoArtwork.

Designers will be asked to create a toy box, food pack or perfume carton.

BPIF general manager Neal Whipp said: "Each contestant will be given up to two hours to design their carton before it is processed and cut out in cardboard – so we can see exactly what it will look like.

"The designs will then be judged on Friday by a high profile judging panel – where the winner will be awarded with the Artios 3D bundle software."

EasyFairs London runs on 7-8 October at the Business Design Centre in Islington. For more information
