Nicholl appointed distributor for US pulp-tray producer

 

 

Nicholl Food Packaging has been appointed European distributor for US firm Olive Pulp Trays' range of packs made from 100% recycled material.

Oliver produces polyester-film lined trays that are made from 100% pre-consumed pulp material and are suitable for oven and microwave and cans also be frozen.


Metal packaging specialist Nicholl has taken on the role European distributor as part of its product diversification programme and the products are said to have been a huge success in the US.

Chief executive John Griffiths said: "We believe that the Oliver trays offer a real point of difference that will appeal to both manufacturers and consumers."

The trays are suitable for modified-atmosphere packaging and have an easy-peel opening for consumer convenience.

Nicholl said the trays can be specified in white, cream or grey with clear or black-film lining. Single- or multi-compartment designs in varying depths are on offer.
