Chadwicks redesigns lids for Mexican snack range

Pre-cut lid manufacturer Chadwicks has updated the design for a Mexican snack range from Westler Foods.

Mexican foods, such as tortilla crisps, are a growing sector within the snack food market and Chadwicks has helped Westler create a new look for the 70g pots of its BigMex dips that are sold in cinemas and bars.

Marking controller Robert Burns said: "Chadwicks has worked with our design team to ensure that the designs were optimised for the print process and, as a result, we have achieved better impact and communication at the point of purchase."

The aluminium-PE foil lids are six-colour UV-flexo printed and have random grub embossing.

There are four separate designs for each of the flavours in the range.

"The lids have been redesigned and modernised to suit the market in which they sell and we're confident that the new lids will be a real hit in-store," said Chadwicks sales administrator Vicki Slater.

North Yorkshire-based Westler produces a variety of hotdogs, burgers and snacks and also has a contract packing operation.

Chadwicks is part of Clondalkin Group's flexible packaging division.
